Description

The ability to remember information correctly, but being wrong about the source of that information.

Example 1:

An employee might correctly recall a useful business idea but mistakenly attribute it to a recent article they read, when in fact it was mentioned by a colleague in a meeting.

Example 2:

An executive might recall a brilliant strategic idea but incorrectly attribute it to a recent article they read, when in fact it was suggested by a junior employee in a meeting some time ago.
