Ultimate attribution error

Description

An in-group member's tendency to make internal attributions for their group's successes and external attributions for their group's failures, and the opposite for out-groups.

Example 1:

A sales team attributes their successful quarter to their hard work and skill (internal), but attributes a competitor's success to luck or unfair market conditions (external).

Example 2:

A sales team might attribute its success to its hard work and skill (internal) but blame a competitor's success on luck or unethical practices (external for out-group).
