What Should We Remember?

We reduce events and lists to their key elements

Serial recall effect

Description

The tendency to recall items or events in the order in which they occurred.

Example 1:

During a presentation, the audience is more likely to remember points in the sequence they were presented. Deviating from a logical sequence can hinder recall.

Example 2:

In a long presentation listing multiple product benefits, the audience is most likely to remember the benefits mentioned at the very beginning and very end, and forget those in the middle.
