Description

Example 1:

A manager encounters a business term for the first time and assumes it's a brand new concept, unaware it has been used in the industry for years.

Example 2:

A senior manager might criticize younger employees for using business jargon they believe is new and unprofessional, when in fact, some of that jargon has been in use for decades.
