Description

The tendency to falsely project current preferences onto a future event.

Example 1:

A manager, feeling enthusiastic about a new project idea, assumes their team will share the same level of excitement and motivation in the future, even if initial enthusiasm wanes.

Example 2:

A product manager, excited about a new feature today, might assume users will still be equally excited about it six months later at launch, without considering shifting market trends or user needs.
