Description

The improved recall of information congruent with one's current mood.

Example 1:

A manager in a positive mood is more likely to recall positive past performances of their team members during an appraisal, while overlooking negative incidents.

Example 2:

An employee in a positive mood is more likely to recall positive customer feedback and past successes, potentially leading to overly optimistic sales forecasts.
