Description

A cognitive bias in which consumers place a disproportionately high value on products they partially created.

Example 1:

Employees who contribute to developing a new internal process or tool are likely to value it more highly and be more committed to its success, even if it has flaws.

Example 2:

Employees who contribute to building a custom internal tool, even if it's not as polished as an off-the-shelf solution, may prefer it and be more invested in its success due to their involvement in its creation.
