Experimenter's bias

Description

(Same as Observer-expectancy effect) A researcher's cognitive bias causes them to subconsciously influence participants.

Example 1:

A market researcher conducting a focus group might subtly guide the conversation or interpret responses in a way that aligns with the desired outcome for a new product concept.

Example 2:

A market researcher conducting focus groups might subtly steer conversations or interpret responses in a way that aligns with the client's desired outcomes for a new product concept.
