Example 1:

An employee might overvalue their own idea or project proposal compared to a colleague's objectively similar or better proposal, simply because it's "theirs."

Example 2:

An employee selling their used company laptop might ask for a higher price than they would be willing to pay for an identical used laptop, because they "own" it.
