Cross–race effect

Description

The tendency to more easily recognize faces of the race that one is most familiar with.

Example 1:

In a diverse workplace, an employee might have more difficulty recognizing and remembering names of colleagues from racial groups different from their own, potentially leading to unintentional awkwardness.

Example 2:

In a global company, eyewitness accounts of an incident involving individuals of different ethnicities might be less reliable due to difficulties in accurately identifying individuals from less familiar racial groups.
