Bandwagon effect

Description

The tendency to do or believe things because many other people do or believe the same.

Example 1:

A company adopts a new technology trend primarily because all its competitors are doing so, without thoroughly evaluating if it's the best fit for their own specific needs or strategy.

Example 2:

A company might rush to adopt a new technology or business trend (e.g., blockchain, AI) primarily because many competitors are doing so, without a clear strategy for how it will benefit their specific business.
