Argument from fallacy

Description

The formal fallacy of analyzing an argument and inferring that, since it contains a fallacy, its conclusion must be false.

Example 1:

If a colleague presents a flawed argument for a new marketing strategy, concluding the strategy itself must be bad, even if the strategy could be viable with better reasoning.

Example 2:

If a colleague presents a poorly reasoned argument for a potentially good idea, a manager might dismiss the idea itself, rather than separating the flawed presentation from the idea's potential merit.
